Kino Lorber in association with Zeitgeist Films have acquired U.S. and English-speaking Canadian rights to 'Holy Cow' (Vingt Dieux), which had its world premiere at Un Certain Regard at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the Youth Prize. The film is written and directed by first time feature director Louise Courvoisier, and marks the on-screen debut of Clement Faveau as the young farmer Totone. Zeitgeist is planning additional stops at fall festivals and a theatrical opening at Film Forum in the first quarter of 2025, with a national theatrical rollout to follow.

Kino Lorber is planning an awards season theatrical release this December, followed by a home video, educational, and digital release on all major platforms.

A vibrant and richly detailed essay film that intertwines jazz and politics to re-examine the 1961 assassination of Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba, 'Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat' unravels colonial power dynamics in Africa to a soundtrack of American jazz greats, including Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, and Duke Ellington. Kino Lorber will release the film theatrically in fall 2024, followed by a home video, educational, and digital release on all major platforms.

Following a successful launch last November in the U.S. on the Amazon Service via Prime Video Channels, where it will remain available, the service will now also be available as a standalone SVOD for $5.99 per month. The Collection features hundreds of films from Kino Lorber’s expansive library of more than 4,000 titles, many now streaming for the first time, along with new releases fresh from theaters and festivals.

Directed by Emmy and IDA Award-winning filmmaker Erik Nelson, with creative consultation from Yoko Ono and Sean Ono Lennon, 'Daytime Revolution' features archival footage from each of the five episodes as well as interviews with six of the original guests, all reconstructing the music, the magic, and the behind-the-scenes madness of this unprecedented and historic week of television. Kino Lorber will open 'Daytime Revolution' theatrically later this year, followed by a home video, educational, and digital release on all major platforms.

The restoration by UCLA Film & Television Archive and The Film Foundation with funding provided by the Hobson/Lucas Family Foundation of the acclaimed independent filmmaker’s missing movie will have its world premiere at the Wexner Center for the Arts at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio on March 2, 2024 as part of the 10th annual Cinema Revival: A Festival of Film Restoration. Mr. Burnett will be in attendance. UCLA Film & Television Archive will host the film’s Los Angeles premiere on April 5, as part of their 25th anniversary Festival of Preservation.
